The most important thing about living an active lifestyle with dogs is the health of the dogs. Since the phrase "you are what you eat" also applies to our furry best friends, I am constantly on the lookout for healthy dog food options. However, since I don't cook, for humans or pets, I have always drawn the line at making my own dog food. Being someone who has come close to starting kitchen fires by trying to boil water, it seemed like deciding not to make home made dog food was a wise one. However, I do want my dogs to have nutritionally complete meals that give them energy for our busy, active days. So when I was offered to give WellyTails WellyChef
Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend a try, I couldn't resist. How hard could it be?
Would Your Dog Like To Help You In The Kitchen? #WellyTails Easy, nutritionally complete make at home dog food: WellyTails WellyChef WellyChef Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend review.
It turned out that the most difficult thing about making WellyChef dog food at home was keeping the dogs noses off the counter while I mixed the food. Making WellyChef really was very simple. I added warm water, stirred and waited fifteen minutes. If I let the food sit too long, it was okay! My amazing ability to get distracted from cooking is one of the many reasons I don't cook. Once the WellyChef blend was hydrated, I mixed in vegetable oil, fish oil and organic ground meat fresh from our local butcher. The food was then ready to serve. I made food each morning that lasted for breakfast and dinner for all three dogs. Best of all, there was very little mess. I had only a measuring cup, tablespoon, stirring spoon and the dogs dishes to toss into the dishwasher. Being an always on the go nomad, one reason I don't cook is that kitchen cleaning takes up time I'd rather spend doing something else.

I have had dogs my entire life and all it took was one easy dog food mix to get me to finally make dog food at home. Health and vitality are so important to my dogs active lifestyle but so is having time to fit in all of our recreation. Yet the small amount of extra time it took to mix my own dog food at home compared to the huge amount of love I felt like I was adding into to each dish of WellyChef Veggie & Fruit + Chia Canine Blend I handed my dogs, was totally worth it.Thanks to WellyTails WellyChef, I can quickly feed a quality, homemade meal to my dogs and we can keep right on moving.

I love helping in the kitchen. My bipeds can be quite clumsy, but I keep the floor spotless for them! It would be even more fun if I got to eat what we make!

Wilhelm, Brychwyn and Huxley are also expert floor sweepers, Clowie. Kitchen time was a lot more fun when clumsy food wasn't all the dogs got to have.

I was surprised that a company with such a name wasn't from your side of the world, Molly. This Florida company does have great taste in names and dog products too!

I was waiting to see what you thought of the WellyChef! Oz absolutely LOVES the WellyChef mix; I have mixed it with bison and beef so far. There is nothing left in the bowl when he is done eating. I wasn't too sure about the Chia but after some research, I found that it is a super superfood! That made me feel even better about feeding the WellyChef. Glad your gang is enjoying it too.

I have been adding Chia to my own smoothies and salads for a very long time. I had no idea it was also a canine super food until trying discovering WellyChef. Funny how my dogs and I have more and more parallel diets as we both learn how to be healthier- I will stick to cooking my meats though! :)

I look forward to seeing what you made but I can never do what you do in the kitchen... If I tried there would be no more kitchen! Adding water is as complex as time in the kitchen can be for me but at least I found a way to make the dogs happy even with my limited cooking skills!

Funny that this mix starts popping up shortly after I start regularly using chia seeds in my smoothies and sharing them with Petal. I will have to look into it! Thanks for sharing Bethany! :)
