PictureSuper Sweet Blogging Award
Typist: Bethany
Well, we Nomads have been blogging for six whole weeks and we've already been nominated for a blogging award. An award is definitely not something I ever imagined happening when I started this blog. One of the best parts is that we were nominated by a blogger I have enjoyed for quite a while, long before I even thought about blogging, Miss Harper Lee of The K9 Harper Lee. Thank you so much to Miss Harper Lee for nominating us. She is indeed super sweet. In particular, Miss Harper Lee nominated our blog because her mom appreciates ourBlack & White Sunday blog posts. As the resident Nomad photographer, and being very out of my comfort zone with our black and white Sunday blog posts, I truly appreciate this compliment.

"Super Sweet!"
Since all of the Cascadian Nomads have been a part of this blog and a part of our Black & White Sunday blog posts, we are all going to answer the super sweet questions. Get ready to get to know the Nomads, perhaps better than you ever wanted to...

Cookies or cakes? It's not safe for a psittacine to eat sugar. How about "Kale or Chard?" In that case, chard. Red chard.
Chocolate or vanilla? If I could eat sweets, I might not be able to really taste much of a difference between the two since psittacines don't have taste buds. Based on color, I think vanilla is lovelier as a flower and as a food.
Favorite sweet treat? Papaya!!
When do you crave sweet things most? Well, I have been told I eat like a bird, so all the time!
Sweet nickname? Sweety P. I have a great song about it! Remind me to sing it for you sometime.

Cookies or cakes? Whichever one is left on the table.
Chocolate or vanilla? I have never had chocolate since that never seems to get left on the table.
Favorite sweet treat?
I suppose of ones I don't have to climb all the way onto the table for, I like baby carrots and wheat grass.
When do you crave sweet things most? For some reason, every time someone puts something on the table, I get serious cravings...
Sweet nickname? I get called "Burglar Face" a lot and I think that has something to do with my table climbing sweet tooth.

Cookies or cakes? I'm not usually a fan of Leo but I like his switch on this question, "Kale or Chard?" And I LOVE Kale. Dinosaur, purple, green. Kale is the best!
Chocolate or vanilla? Hmm... can't this question also infer exotic or plain tastes? Then I am a chocolate corgi. But I will never eat any. I promise.
Favorite sweet treat? I've loved apples since puppyhood.
When do you crave sweet things most? Usually, when I am being really good I crave a snack. And, of course, I am always being really good!
Sweet nickname? Sweet Bry Blue. Yeah. It's true.

Typist: Huxley
Cookies or cakes? What kind does Leo drop to me at meal times? I like those!
Chocolate or vanilla? Leo drops me orange colored food. I think it is carrot, pumpkin  or sweet potato baby food, not chocolate or vanilla. Is orange stuff an answer?
Favorite sweet treat? Oh! In agility classes I sometimes get these little sweet potato stars that smell like cinnamon. Yum!
When do you crave sweet things most? When I hear something drop onto Leo's newspapers... It's not always a sweet treat though.
Sweet nickname? I am the Sweet Baby Boy!

Typist: Jason
Cookies or cakes? Cookies. I like cookies better. They're portable and they don't get in my beard.
Chocolate or vanilla? I like vanilla better. I don't really have a reason. Do you have to have a reason?
Favorite sweet treat? Hmm, I can't decide. I guess it's that raspberry mousse thing from Bakery Nouveau.
When do you crave sweet things most? When I'm awake.
Sweet nickname? Bethany calls me "Sweetheart" but I don't have a nickname due to my love of sweets. At least not that I know of. Maybe when Leo calls me "Big Daddy" he's inferring I obviously enjoy a lot of sweets but that might also be due to my love of beer.

Cookies or cakes? Cakes. Cupcakes. Actually, it doesn't matter as long as it is soft, crumbly, moist and has frosting. Which I guess some cookies can too. Now I'm torn and hungry.
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate. Very, very dark chocolate. preferably over 70%.
Favorite sweet treat? I feel like I already answered this... but dark chocolate cupcakes. Now that's the best of everything! And if I only had to have one sweet thing again for the rest of my life, it would be Dana's Cheesecake from the Oregon Country Fair. Don't ask me to choose which flavor, though!
When do you crave sweet things most? Mid-afternoon. It's either sugar or a nap. Okay, sometimes it's both. Alright, it's often both. Fine! It's always both.
Sweet nickname? Leo calls me "Big Mommy" which I am sure is due to all the sweets I eat...

A Cascadian Nomads congratulatory flower
At first we thought it would be difficult to come up with 13 blogs to nominate, especially since we so strongly agreed that many of the bloggers Miss Harper Lee nominated are super sweet. Then we found we have an awful lot of blogs that we love and especially those who have supported our leap into the blogging world. For the most part, we ended up trying to nominate blogs that had it seemed had not won the Super Sweet Blogging Award before. Congratulations to you and thank you for your inspiration and support.
