Both my pups are seniors. I dread this day. My thoughts are with you. :(

It's actually been very healing to post photos and stories of Tynan and all of my seniors who I enjoyed but then left me. Don't get me wrong, I cried a lot, but I also smiled a lot. Like these photos! I do miss him...

I will always wish to have seen him get more grey but at the same time I feel blessed just to have known him.

I can't remember where I first heard "silver muzzle" but it was, sadly, after Tynan passed. It is such a beautiful term for our precious seniors!

Tynan looks like such a lovely chap who enjoyed his car rides :) I find it quite cathartic to look at photos of my dogs from the past. I have some video here of my family of 6 Shelties from about 15 years ago that I haven't been able to watch yet. Photos are one thing but to see them running around, well, I'm not ready for that! One day :)

It is cleansing and I wish I had more. Video's would indeed be a bit surreal...

I'll be back tomorrow to read his story. Have enjoyed all the stories of your critters!! And I, like a lot of others, really like looking back at past pets and remembering them and all the fun times we had and the funny stories.

Thanks, Rebecca. I have cried a lot but I have also smiled and laughed. I am so glad that even after they're gone, my wonderful friends can keep bringing me and others joy. Isn't that what we all hope for?

He did that just resting his eyes thing a lot even when he was young. Tynan was the kind of guy who never wanted to miss a moment of anything even if he was tired!

He was a very expressive dog and as he got grayer, those expressions were more obvious as well as easier to capture with the camera!
