So Much Mischief, So Little Time

Late Saturday morning, almost all of the Cascadian Nomads piled into the car for an adventure. (It was too cold for Leo to come along.) The drive was a bit long and too rainy for the windows to be down enough for any good sniffing. It was worth it, though, because when we arrived at our destination, we got to visit some of our favorite family- Sakari, Sessi, Seneca, Shila and Michael. All of those lovely 'S' names belong to four Alaskan Klee Kai's whom I have known their whole lives. And Michael is, well, Michael. I like his lap when he comes to visit me, he comes camping with us sometimes and he also likes to play tug. So despite the rain, my herding dogs herded the Alaskan Klee Kai's, we all sniffed around the yard and there was, of course, a lot of chasing.

I was surprised that after a short time, yet a lot of mischief, in the yard, we all- yes, all seven dogs!- went out for a walk. This wasn't any ordinary walk. Just two blocks from the Alaskan Klee Kai's house, is a big, lovely park that I have visited before but this time we found a huge fair with dogs everywhere! It was called Petpalooza and is aptly named because I was indeed petted a lot.

The Petpalooza adventure made the Alaskan Klee Kai's very tired. When we got back to their house, they all rested. Brychwyn and Huxley and I, however, still had more mischief to fit into the afternoon!

Eventually, fitting all of this mischief here and there and here into just one afternoon wore us Cascadian Nomads out as well.

And just in case you were worried about poor Leo having to stay home and  miss out on the Saturday afternoon mischief, here he is enjoying a bit of Sunday morning pancake. He always finds a way to fit mischief in, rain or shine!
