Haha! They are wondering when their big stage debut will be. They have been practicing Shakespeare all year!!

This was actually one of the toughest shots I have done- they were so excited about the snow and my camera/phone was getting very wet/foggy in the storm. All that's why they're not center stage this time!

Woweeee! What a great photo. We've never had snow like that here, a few flakes is the most we can hope for. If that happens there's no way I can get mine outside, lol!

I've never actually been to Timberline. It's on my list. Did you know it was used as the exterior for the hotel in the Shining?
Last weekend was crazy weather-wise. Hope you and your crew managed to stay dry!

There is a display about "The Shining" in the lodge! We have also stayed at The Awahnee in Yosemite where the movie hotel interior was based on. And, no, we did not stay dry. It took us all week to dry off!

Snow is so pretty and we get excited about it here as well. But ... still not ready for it!! On the East Coast we normally don't get our first snow until November. Last year it was the end of October when Super Storm Sandi slammed the East Coast. We got almost 2' of snow.

Snow here mostly only comes to the mountains so it is a special treat instead of an annoyance. But I have a lot of family in Buffalo so I understand...

We thought we were going up for a rare snow free visit to the lodge (we usually snowshoe up The Glad Trail to it) but, boy, were we wrong!

I'm so jealous! We're still pushing 90's here in Texas. We've had a few nights drop into the 60's. That alone sparks up the pups. Glad your dogs enjoyed it.

We can't keep up with you. Always traveling. I tell Jodie Belle where you all have been. She's chilling out on her chair.

My Dad used to work at Timerline way back when.

Snow sure has arrived early this year. Hope it stays up in the passes as I'm not ready for it yet.

Stay cool,
JC and Jodie Belle

As in your dad was one of the amazing crafts-people who built Timberline?!? I am constantly in awe...

I have a feeling snow will make it to sea level this way but I also would rather it not come so low until November or December!

Ooooo, pretty. But... I'm not a fan of snow. It kinda strikes fear in my heart! (I lived briefly in places where it snowed, and got rearended by a dodo in the first snowfall one year.) It's a good thing I live in So. Cal!

I bet Rita would love the snow, though! Some day we'll take her!
