All of the information available about healthy pets can be overwhelming. There is so much advice about dog care and cat care that doing the right thing to ensure that I have happy dogs and happy cats is often confusing. It seems like dog nutrition was so simple when I was a kid but it gets more complex everyday. I am never sure I am feeding the most healthy dog food. Having only had cats as an adult, I enjoy learning about cat nutrition but finding the perfect healthy cat food usually perplexes me as well. So those times that I read yet another study about one more thing I should be doing to ensure my pets are as healthy and happy as possible, I stop, step back and remember that perfect pet care doesn't have to be so complicated. It's truly as easy as one, two three!

One: Regular Vet Visits
The benefits of regular vet visits to dog and cat health are innumerable. Even if my pets seems perfectly healthy, I never skip veterinary check-ups. Pets are very good at hiding issues, problems and disease. Even if the humans in our household don't get annual doctor exams, we never skip veterinary check-ups. Pets age more rapidly than humans so even just annual vet visits are be equal to a human seeing a doctor every 3-7 years.

Two: Proper Pet Nutrition
While this step doesn't sound easy, when a good relationship exists between with a regular veterinarian, the doctor can help  through every step of the healthy feeding way. From making sure the pets food is right for their unique nutritional needs to feeding the correct amount, ensuring proper nutrition for pet nutrition doesn't have to be difficult.

Three: Loving Little Extras
My pets probably don't know that taking them to the vet even when they aren't sick and feeding them the healthiest food possible are ways I show them how much I love them. Yet when I spend quality time grooming, playing, walking and even comfortably resting, with my pets, I improve their health by improving their quality of life. In turn, it makes me happy to see my pets happy.

One, two, three.
See! It really is as easy as one, two, three to have healthy, well fed, happy pets. The only thing about these three simple steps is that they aren't always easy to afford but Hill's wants to help. Get healthy, happy dogs a $10 off Science Diet Life Care Products coupon here and healthy, happy cats can get one here. There is no amount of money too great to spend to help my pets live the healthiest, happiest lives. I can;t spend enough time researching and learning about how to best care for my dogs, cats and parrots too. Yet when it comes down to it I don't have to be rich or know everything to help my pets get healthy, happy or to stay that way for as long as we're together. Healthy, happy pets are easy as one, two, three and love is even simpler than that.

I love how the smaller the pet, the bigger their bed :->

The Loving Little Extras keep us all healthy! Now if I could just train my dogs to brush my hair we'd all be in total bliss ...

Yeah, I stopped keeping the small beds around for Wilhelm and the cats- I guess bigger is better! But the loving extras that keep us all healthy usually only need to be little.

You're so right, you don't need to have tons of money to ensure a happy healthy life, it just takes a little bit of thinking ahead for our pets. Thanks for spreading the word!

I take all four of my furry pets to the vet at the same time each year that way I can plan for the expense, like annual insurance or tax payments. It isn't hard to afford to ensure that everyone stays healthy and happy!
