Dogs are not allowed on public beaches in the city of Seattle because it is hazardous to public health and to wildlife like endangered harbor seals and shellfish. Dogs can certainly still have fun near the beaches and there are obviously good photo opportunities as well. Thanks for hopping by!

Gorgeous! I especially like the one of Huxley. I didn't know they didn't let the dogs on the beach. I think the majority if not all of the Oregon beaches allow dogs.

They look great. When we get to your neck of the woods next summer, you will have to give us pointers on cool places to go. And meet to of course.

Beautiful photos! For such a progressive area, it surprises me Seattle has a no dogs on the beach rule...

Driftwood is great to climb, but not being on the beach is a bummer.

Great photos, as always! Love those gorgeous pups. Most of the beaches here don't allow dogs, but there are a few that are designated as dog beaches. Sadly, we don't go anymore... Maybe some day we'll start going again - but I want to be more sure of Rita's recall before we do!

Beach scenes are always the best! Love those photos. Bummer dogs aren't allowed on beaches...discrimination! I bet kids pee and poo there more than dogs would!
