Jason and I have an amazing lily blooming in our backyard, that in over 10 years in our house, we don't remember seeing before (or when we last saw, it had much smaller flowers.) We both had to look up what variety of lily it is. While out in the yard with the dogs on Friday evening, I stopped to take a photo of the lily. It looked so beautiful after the rain! The dogs didn't let me take the photo without them, however, which is fine because I think all photographs are more beautiful with dogs. So without further ado, here is the Dracunculus vulgaris also known as a as the Dragon Arum, Black Arum, Voodoo Lily, Snake Lily, Stink Lily, Black Dragon, Black Lily, Dragonwort, Ragons or Drakondia with Brychwyn, Huxley and Wilhelm too.

Jason told me his research on the lily might explain why the dogs were so interested in being near it; apparently one of it's aliases as a Stink Lily is because of it's unpleasant odor. I didn't notice the flowers smell from my position but I think the dogs did... and it seems like the lily's odor might not be repugnant to them. After all, everyone sees (or smells) beautiful in their own special way. Apparently these are photos of something, if judged with all senses, might be difficult to consider beautiful. We are being compensated for helping spread the word about Pet Naturals® of Vermont Hip+Joint for Dogs, but Cascadian Nomads only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. As always, everything we share is honest and all opinions are our own. Pet Naturals® of Vermont is not responsible for the content of this article. Typist: Bethany Last year, Brychwyn shared with you the story of our discovery that glucosamine and joint supplements are not just for aging dogs and cats. We also learned a lot about the importance of the amount of glucosamine your dog gets as well as the source and quality. Wilhelm, Brychwyn and Huxley have all been doing very well on their natural joint health supplement. The few times I neglected to buy it and we have gone without for a few days, I have noticed a difference in the fit dogs mobility, especially soon-to-be-seven weiner dog Wilhelm.
I was a little nervous about the very long ingredients list on the Pet Naturals Hip +Joint for Dogs Bone Shaped Chews but I researched all of the ingredients and they are indeed all natural. While not all of the active ingredients are truly proven to be beneficial for joint health and pain, they have not been shown to have negative side effects either. I really like how chewy the treats are and that the dogs don't just inhale them. The long inactive ingredients list is what makes these soft chews pleasant for me to give the dogs and enjoyable for the canines to consume. Active Ingredients Per 2 Chews:
Inactive Ingredients Per 2 Chews: Allspice, Arabic gum, Brewers yeast, Calcium sulfate, Chicken liver flavor, Citric acid, Fish, Glycerin, Ground oat groats, Ground rye groats, Maltodextrin, Mixed tocopherols, Nutmeg, Oat meal, Pectin, Propionic acid, Rosemary extract, Silicon dioxide, Sodium alginate, Sorbic acid, Soy lecithin, Vegetable oil, Water. Best of all, fit dogs Wilhelm, Brychwyn and Huxley just keep on moving... fast! The reason we began glucosamine supplements last year was so that these super active dogs can keep on moving and now that we have discovered Pet Naturals Hip+Joint for Dogs Bone Shaped Chews, continuing along as speedy fit dogs is now delicious too. Always consult a veterinarian about the nature of your dogs specific dietary needs and before changing or supplementing your dogs diet. Remember to count the calories of dog treats given, vitamin supplemented or not, in your dogs total intake and calorie burn calculations to keep your dog healthy, slim and fit.
