Adopting A First Cat Or A Tenth? Never Stop Learning About Health & Nutrition #WellnessPetFood

When I adopted Emily all I knew about cats was that I had always wanted one. Over the fifteen years I was lucky enough to spend with my first cat, I learned a lot about cat health and nutrition. As Emily aged and my knowledge grew, Emily ate many different kinds of dry cat food and wet cat food. One brand I knew I could count on no matter how picky she was and how important her special nutritional needs became was Wellness.

I always carefully read the labels and research the ingredients of everything I feed any of the pets. Wellness makes concern about the ingredients of what I feed a bit easier since none of their recipes contain corn, soy, wheat or artificial colors or flavors. And when scanning wet cat food labels for moisture content, Wellness percentages consistently impressed me.

Of course, I was excited about the opportunity to learn about the new line of Wellness wet cat food, Divine Duos. Amelia was excited to try out the new food too! Like other Wellness wet cat food I have tried in the past, the ingredients list is straight forward and the moisture percentage is very high. One of the most important things I have learned over the years about cat nutrition is that it is essential for cats food to be a major source of hydration. But what if a cat is too much of a picky eater to get the proper moisture form their diet? With all of the Divine Duos flavors, the pâté is atop the diced food. So cats that prefer pâté, would rather munch diced food or can't decide from one day to the next what they want (like all of my cats have been!) can find something to like. And with the variety of flavors like Chicken Pâté & Diced Turkey, Chicken Pâté & Diced Salmon, Beef Pâté & Diced Chicken Liver, Tilapia Pâté & Diced Ahi Tuna, Tuna Pâté & Diced Salmon and Chicken Pâté & Diced Duck no picky cat will go unsatisfied.

Adopting a cat, whether it is the first (Emily) or her namesake (Amelia,) should be a wonderful journey of learning and loving, together. Looking back on years of striving to do what is best for my cats, while I was learning and expanding my cat care knowledge, so was Wellness. Not only have I appreciated having a brand that seeks to do more for the health of my cats, my cats have taken delicious pleasure in what Wellness does too.

I wish I'd known about this brand sooner, but we are just happy to have found it now. It's great to know that this company is growing and expanding their knowledge and products, and that the cats love the food too!

My first introduction to Wellness was actually when dealing with Tynan's food allergies. They were one of the only brands with a simple enough ingredient list for him!

Excellent review Amelia! My vet always loved Wellness pet food. We just tried it for the first time, on my mom's cats.

Emily was such a set in her ways cat that even though Tynan loved his Wellness dog food, I didn't dare switch cat food. But after Emily died, Gryphon and now Amelia have just loved all the Wellness options for cats!
