Party Animals

I was fascinated by all the jumping people at the next door neighbor's birthday party.

In the last week, I was invited to two peoples' birthday parties. We walked to one down the street and the other one was right next door. Everyone loved me and petted me and I loved them back with licking and sometimes jumping even though I am not supposed to do that. But why did so many people at the next door neighbor's party get to jump so high? They like jumping but do not like a jumping collie. People are confusing sometimes.

I got to attend two birthday parties last week. It's hard for me to relax at parties since I need to be patient for attention and concentrate on keeping Brychwyn and Huxley, as well as Jason and Bethany, in line. I did like the attention and I relaxed and explored a bit but I would have preferred an invitation onto the couch as a part of my invitation to the party. I was on pretty much my best behavior at the second party we attended next door so maybe next time I will get more couch time and possibly some cake. In the mean time, I will lead lot's of barking at the neighbor to remind him that we are here.

Obviously, every party needs a corgi so I made appearances at two peoples' birthday parties last week. The next door neighbor calls me "a mythical creature," which I like, and has a wonderful, jungle like yard, which I also like. The best part of both of these birthday events was that I did not have to wear a birthday hat or party paraphernalia of any kind.

Sounds like an exciting week - two parties! Glad there were no party hats involved Brychwyn...hate when that happens!

Don't take this the wrong way, but naked parties are the best!

"a mythical creature" - what a nice compliment! And I'm glad you didn't have to wear any party hats. Those are the worst!

Thanks, Holly. Mythical creatures do look loveliest without hats!

How cool to go to two parties in a week - Did you get to go on the bouncy thing too? :)

Wags to all,

Your pal Snoopy :)

I didn't try it. My neck got tired watching the up and down and up and down and up and down... I'm tired again now. It is just on the other side of my fence so maybe I'll be invited to check it out again.

We're quite popular for outdoor parties. I'd like to move up the social ladder and get lot's of invitations indoors too. I think I can charm my way into it but I am not sure about those larger, furrier fellows I live with...

Lucky dogs! I can't recall ever being invited to bring my dog to a social gathering (sadly, because I like my dog more than most of the people i know :D )

Sometimes I think the only reason Jason and I get invited is so the dogs will be there...

Both parties sound like fun. Lucky doggies.

Hanging out and getting petted is fun. There was just a lack of lap and couch time... and there could have been more food on the ground too!

Sounds like lots of fun guys. Nice to hear each of your thoughts on the party! I'm sure you all appreciate not having to wear any party hats!

Actually, Ann, I really like wearing hats even thought my short legged brother don't. I tried to get our next door neighbor to share his birthday crown with me but I got in trouble for jumping. Maybe at the next party.

We are still trying to decide which one of us should keep track of our extremely full social calendar. I want to still have time for long walks and naps!

Finn, you and I should party naked sometime, if you know what I mean. (And it's not what people reading this might think. Dogs know.)
