How Does A Seattle Seahawks 12th Dog Prepare For The Super Bowl? | Wordless Wednesday

Per NFL rules, each football team is allowed only eleven men on the field. But the Seattle Seahawks have a 12th player: the fans. The Seahawks honored it's fans in 1984 by retiring the fans number, 12. All over our city and the world, the 12 flag stands as a symbol of a Seattle Seahawks fan as well as a monument to the effect fans can have on their team. With fans like this, the Seattle Seahawks can't lose.
Go Hawks!

We are definitely rooting for the Seahawks. Thanks for answering the 12 question. Mom was wondering what the 12 was for the other day.

Maybe it's the 12th pup. Or cat. Or bird!
Love the camera angle!

Great photos! I think you're right, the fans are a big part of the game. Since our team (Detroit Lions) isn't a part of the big game, I'm not really partial. I do think the Seahawks have cooler uniforms though :)

Didn't know that! Pretty neat! While we cannot root for Seattle this year, being Bostonians, we'll still wish you good luck! My Mama and Papa just visited Seattle for the first time this past year and really loved it! *wags* - Gilligan from WagsAhoy.com
