Shedding Pets? Ditching Vacuuming For Traveling With Less Guilt | #NeatoBestPetVacuumFur? What fur?
Typist: Bethany
I
f there is one thing a nomadic pet person hates more than having a home, it's cleaning that home. There are literally one million things I would rather do than clean indoor pet hair. Time spent cleaning pet shed is time that could be spent traveling, planning an adventure, packing for a trip, wanderlust daydreaming, looking at pictures of previous travels, etc, etc, etc. Pet shedding should be the least of my worries. It will work out for the Cascadian Nomads to someday be full time nomads but in the meantime, I have to share a house with five pets. Five furry, feathery, messy pets. Vacuuming is an everyday occurrence at our house.

I often try to convince myself that the more time the pets and I spend away from home means the house won't get dirty. So far my attempts at being away from home on three hour adventures, road tripping with the top down for three days or touring multiple states for three weeks hasn't kept the house immaculate. While out fulfilling my wanderlust, I day dream about returning home to sparkling clean house... so the pets and I can quickly turn around and hit the road again! Well, it turns out someone else had that exact same daydream. Okay. Not exactly the same but close. And they created the Neato Robot Vacuum.

In many decades of experience cleaning dog and cat fur as well as bird dust, I have learned that the quality of the cleaning I do also matters. If I clean thoroughly, I don't have to clean as often. The people at Neato Robotics know this too. While Neato's bagless robot vacuums can be scheduled to run daily, it can pick up dirt and dust particles up to .03 microns. This is probably why so many industry expert reviews have declared Neato Robot Vacuum "Best for Pets." With the variety of pets I have, I appreciate that this vacuum is recognized for it's powerful suction and brushes that work well for pet hair on a variety of surfaces. And the road tripper in me giggles with delight at Neato's smart navigation system. It is similar to the laser guided technology used in the Google driverless car.
So if I have to have a house (for now) and shedding, messy pets (forever,) I can appreciate anything that makes it easier to get quickly back to spending quality time with my pets. If that helpful anything also happens to be a really cool laser navigated robot vacuum, I might want one. And if that robot vacuum has earned its "Best for Pets" reviews by being thorough enough to clean cockatoo dust, then I really want one. I'm always up for ditching the vacuuming and getting on the road with my pets.
Proof that time spent not vacuuming pet fur at home is time well spent. #NeatoBestPetVacuum

Aw your dream sounds wonderful! LOL! I would love to have one of these little robot vacuums some day... My house gets messy about just as fast as I can clean it.

Stay tuned, Ann, because a Neato Robot Vacuum giveaway is in the near future!

Maybe we have the same messy house ghosts? I know while I am home trying to clean, the dogs, Amelia and Leo's mighty, dusty wings can spread the pet mess faster than I can keep up! But how is it possible for the house to get messy while I am traveling? Shedding ghosts is the only answer. :)

We are on our 4th vacuum in 3 years here....between the boys long hair and mine - they don't tend to lat very long :)

Ah, we couldn't agree more with your daydreaming of a clean, fur-less house...though we couldn't dream of being without our pets! I hope this robot vacuum works! Would love to hear more about it...

Even though we don't travel like you do, we'd much rather spend our time doing ANYTHING BUT vacuuming! Since we also have 5 pets, we know just how it is. This would be awesome. I wonder if hubby would get me one for Christmas?

Oh I agree - coming home to a spotless house would be so wonderful. This vacuum does looks pretty sweet; it seems like it's a smarter version of some of the older robotic versions. I'd love to get one of them someday.

It would be so wonderful to have vacuuming just happen! Mom just doesn't know if these things really do the job well enough or not.

Leaving the house for a robot to vacuum would be so very fabulous. Usually I just "swoosh" dog hair bunnies into corners until the pile is big enough to scoop up and throw away. Sometimes I'm just so impressed with how big the piles can get. Oops, did I just admit that out loud?

How cool!!! I really need to invest in one of those. Even with just 2 dogs I need to vacuum every day but I find EVERY reason or excuse not to and do something else. My husband doesn't help either ... he says why clean it because its just going to get dirty again after you finish. LOL!!!!

I am a big fan of pets. I already have two cats and one dogs with heavy hair.Last year i got Neato Robotic vacuum cleaner from my relative. It was my birthday gift. I am real lucky that I got a unbelievable gift that I could realize after using it in my hardwood and tile floor. It works awesome.
