A Remarkable Seattle Site's Historic Monument Sounds Dull But There Are Dogs | Wordless Wednesday

The first non-native settlers aboard a schooner named Exact landed on the shores near our West Seattle home on November 13th, 1851.
A small monument installed in 1905 marks the location and landing occasion.

Carved on the monument are the names of the 1851 landing party, some of whom were in attendance when the memorial was unveiled in 1905.

I miss living in West Seattle, the Monument pictures bring back memories. I wish I had had my dogs when I lived there, what a great place to walk!
