Seattle spring approaches. There's blooming crocuses, hyacinths, irises and heather in all kinds of gorgeous shades of purple around every corner. The other day the dogs and I walked past blossoming purple kale plants that were taller than Huxley. Despite knowing that this weeks 52 Snapshots of Life theme is purple, I didn't stop for a photo. I have been obsessed for weeks with the idea of taking photographs of the dogs at a certain Seattle store. I can't explain why I wanted these snapshots. It seemed so odd to want photos with something so, well, odd. I laughed through the entire shoot as did many passers-by. Perhaps that is why the dogs were such great sports. The photographs turned out very purple indeed and we had an awesome pet friendly adventure in a Seattle neighborhood we rarely visit. I love when even something as simple as a color can inspire such fun.

Don't worry, Amelia's not trapped. She's enjoying the views of an amazing adventure while safely invisible behind the mesh of her cozy front pack carrier. Click here to read about and see more photos from her travels. Share this post: Share this post: GO SEAHAWKS! (In all honesty, Amelia usually sleeps in another room while football games are on TV. However, she does like the the long walks we take before Seattle games and the celebrations after we win!) Share this post: |
